lyrics

Laundry hangs high in the alleyways
Neighbors talk from their windows again
Did you hear about Maggie McGee they say?
Poor Maggie is just a stone’s throw away

The streets are dirty where the little kids play
They're building a den, a hide-away
The streets smell bad, but they don’t care
You know you can always find them there

Covered in suit from working all day
Living for Friday, it comes back again
The kids all get their pocket money
Then back to where the little kids play
